Default Linking variable exhaust to drive mode????

sorry if this topic exists, I can't find anything on how to actually do this
so I have found in the menu where the exhaust sound is controlled, but the only way it goes into quiet mode is if I push 'stealth' on the screen.
All of the modes have it in loud mode all the time, even at idle. That is fine by me, but leaving to go to work very early is basically the only time I want it quiet and I would like to be able to use the round dial by the shifter rather than going into the screen menu.
I think the previous owner had it set up to be loud 100% of the time, but I don't know how he did it.

For instance, I could just have two modes, Tour and Sport.
And have it quiet in Tour and Loud in Sport so I could just switch it on the fly once I get out of my neighborhood or through residential areas at early hours.
What am I missing in the menu? There is very little to even choose from once in that section of the menu. It's under "Settings" that I am going into.

Unfortunately, there's no way to link stealth to a drive mode. The only way you can do it is through the menu. I actually got used to just doing this every time I got into my neighborhood when I knew was leaving early the next morning. If you leave it in stealth, it will still be there when you start it in the morning.

If the exhaust sound management is set to “auto” , you can switch to “weather” when leaving and switch to “sport” when clear. At least you can do that on my ‘19. Weather and eco mode run in stealth exhaust sound.

^yeah i've tried weather mode and it makes no difference in exhaust sound
so far the only way I can change it is to go into the menu and specifically push 'stealth'
edit: I recall now an 'auto' selection or something so I'll have to try that to see if it puts weather back in quiet mode

I saw one for sale at one point where the guy had the 'homelink' buttons modded to do the exhaust, one button for open valves one button for closed.
Honestly, I don't even know where the homelink garage door buttons are yet, I'm at day two here, but that sounded like a great mod
