I was watching a video on youtube - buying a 2017 Lamborghini sv roadster start to finish. Some interesting points.
Lambo offers maneto-Rheological shocks - 1600 - about the same price as the corvette I believe.
Lambo offers brake caliper colors - but for 1600 where corvette is about 500 or 600 - bargain really
steering wheel in full alcantara - 900 - I think mine was 500 for both steering wheel and shifter - another bargain
Lambo comes with a 3 year warranty ...want an extra year - 8,320 want a 5th year -- 15,980 (the 5 year 72,000 from GM looks pretty good right now
Home link - 800
dealer prep - 6,995 - about 250 - 500 for corvette
Freight - 14,000 - corvette about 1000
special paint - 15,900
transparent engine bonnet - 1100 (about same as corvette)
rims Forged 20/21 inch high gloss black with red central locking - 4700 (since forged and some chrome corvette wheels are 3,0000) not a bad deal
fuel - 98.00 - yep charged for fuel and not even part of the 6,996 dealer prep
Now I know to compare a corvette to a lambo is a little silly - but it is really interesting on some of the crazy charges - such as dealer prep, extended warranty costs, home link. Makes me appreciate my C7 even more.
Yes but as you know in the end you are comparing a Chevy to a Lambo. We all know the Corvette is a bargain when it comes down to looks and performance, but the high rollers want that bit of prestige that comes with owning a Lambo or Ferrari, etc.
