Did you upgrade to a stage 3 spoiler on your C7? Why? Does the appearance make that big of a difference?

Thanks

Its true purpose is to add downforce but I suspect most guys add it for appearance alone. As for looks, the smoked/tinted ones look better than the clear ones which don't remotely match carbon flash nor fiber although the driver can see through them while looking the rear view mirror. I always hoped the aftermarket would come out with a one piece CF stage 3 so to avoid that "bolt on" look.

Thanks - I have many upgrades on my car and just wondering about this. I don't race or track so it would be purely for the appearance sake.

Thanks again

Just some FYI.. Adding a spoiler crates a trade off.. Spoilers are designed to increase down force there is a trade of in getting this down force increase.. its called drag. When a race car is limited byt the traction it gets, it need to add down force. thisdrag is a known and calculated trade off.. the trade off is fuel economy.. For anyone adding a spoiler to a street car, the more aggressive the spoiler the more your fuel economy suffers. adding all this drag to street cat can take 2 to 3 mpg off the fuel economy.. like everything its a trade off.. The aesthetic look is often sought, but most do not realize that it does cost fuel efficiency..

I thought I would post that as an FYI.

tiny spoilers create drag as well but not like an aggressive racing spoiler.
