Loving the back end of my girl....that much is gone in the C8.....
Outstanding color as there are so many bland and boring C7 colors out there. I also did the diffuser blades. All show no go but they do look much better than stock.
I took delivery of my first Corvette on July 5 of this year. A 2019 Torch Red 2LT Convertible.... My only complaint is the tail lights.... Why did the bullet tail lights go away?
I really want to get excited about the C8....but....well.....
And this is my issue with the C8. I’m not very excited. I have to allow it to grow on me. A Corvette is not exactly a cheap purchase. It’s hard to pay for a want you don’t find “drop dead gorgeous”.

i may add another vette to the stable later to go along with the C7 - but shark gray is a keeper so it's going nowhere without ME
I'm pretty much in the same situation. I had an immediate "gotta have it" response to both my C5 and my C7Z. Immediately after the C7 was released in 2014, I thought it was everything the C6 should have been as I've always felt that the C6 was more of a C5.5 in terms of moving the platform forward. The C7 accomplished that in a big way.
I remember when the C7 made its debut, the GM engineering team said at the time that the C7 generation was going to be shorter than previous generations and that proved to be correct with only 6 model years compared to the C6 (9) and the C5 (8). The C4 (13) and C3 (15) runs were incredibly long IMO and I doubt we will ever see any Corvette generation last that long again without a major redesign.
I also feel the C7 design was worthy of the Stingray branding as it had many retro Stingray design elements. I don't feel that way about the C8 and the use of the Stingray name due to the more radical redesign.
I'm sure over time, and probably after the high-performance models are introduced, I will warm up to the C8, mid-engine platform. However, with the exception of the C2, I tend to like the odd number generations the best, so perhaps the C9 will grab me like the C5 and C7 did. In the meantime, I will enjoy my last front-engine Corvette and manual gearbox.
