Changed my OEM battery though car still started instantly and never hesitated..... battery had 62 months on it - 91,000 miles and was never on a charger. Since I was going to leave it for a week at the airport I decided for peace of mind I'd change it. I replaced it with an OEM battery - as I have done with my previous five Corvettes - 800,000 miles and climbing.....
So you bought a new battery even thought the old one was fine?
Okay.
Next time you wanna waste some money just paypal it to me.
With 62 months on an OEM in a C7 it was soon to die a death.... I wasn't interested in coming back to DFW airport at rush hour or _________ and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for AAA to come to my rescue....

Nice.
Its amazing how reliable cars are when an owner is sensibly proactive with maintenance.
It's my 3rd Corvette and I've owned over 30 cars in my life and never once replaced a battery that wasn't in need of replacing just because I felt like it was time. Never heard of anyone else doing that either.
I've never had a battery just suddenly fail without warning. If OP was worried, jumper cables are a lot cheaper for peace of mind.

Did you ever own a C6?, and if you did, how long did you own it?
