I also have an '89 Evo Harley and was thinking about trading up to a late model one. Went to a non-Harley dealer and was surprised they threw me the keys and said take it for a spin and take your time. All they wanted was a copy of my license. Liked the bike but wasn't impressed enough to think about buying, though I could have.. Another option would be to drive down to my local Carmax. They seem to have plenty of C7's and I could always act like I'm interested. One last option is our local cars and coffee. I know most of the Vette guys but not many C7's show. Maybe one may show up and I could talk to the owner, let him drive mine, and I could drive his, maybe buy him lunch.

Buy a C7/M7/convertible.

Don't buy a c00p.

Find a dealer with a few used ones that knows you....they are no where near as particular on test drives on used ones in general and will likely let you drive one more that around the block.... I've kept them over the weekend before and many time they toss the fob and say have fun...
