I just purchased a used 2015 C7. I use to stow my C6 in a heated garage, with no electrical outlets, so i use to remove the negative battery cable and never had any problems, when I reinstalled the cable. can I still do that on my 2015, it has a lot more electronics, thanks for any advice

Yes, just reconnect negative and you’re good to go.

You mention how you used to store the car, but do you have electrical outlets in the garage now? If so, just get a battery tender and keep it hooked up to the car. Works great over the winter.

I agree, then you won't lose the data stored in all the computers. That will reset the entire car.

no outlets, I didn't have to do anything to my C6, it was fine. This is a heated garage, below apartments. My friends who go to florida for the winter let me use it.

Ok then disconnecting the battery seems to be your best option.

You will probably have to Re-Index the Windows. Not sure about the seats, but not much trouble.
