Is there an SUV in Corvette's future? Check out the following article. I think it's a good idea given the success of Porsche, Maserati, etc. in the SUV market.
Porsche and Maserati are brands, not models. Chevrolet is a brand, and they already have several models of SUVs. Making a Corvette SUV makes zero sense, and isn’t comparable to Porsche and Maserati.

For all the purists among us, GM will make a Corvette SUV if they think they can sell a Corvette SUV. Ford is on the cusp of introducing a Mustang SUV crossover and doubling down. It will be all electric. Go into the candy aisle, no not the automotive candy aisle, the real sweets. There are a dozen sizes of Snickers. Why? Mars can sell a dozen kinds of Snickers. Truth be known, who cares?

This has been brought up before. I saw the rendering of a C7 based SUV and quite honestly, I kind of liked it.
You never know what GM has up its sleeve, so anything is possible. But with the multitude of SUVs that GM already offers, a Corvette based on is probably down the list on things to do.
Add me to the list of those that think a Corvette named SUV would be a detriment to the name plate.
GM can take any of their existing SUV's and jamb in a higher output engine. Even take the Corvette engine and transmission and install it in one just don't call it a Corvette. Call it a Tahoe, Yukon, Blazer, Equinox, Suburban, Acadia, Encore, Enclave, Envision, Terrain, Traverse, Trax or any other SUV name that GM has ever used and then put a Sport badge on it and there you have it. A high output potato shaped lump with AWD and handling that is far from anything that should be called sporty in the first place.....
since they done jumped ship, i find it hard for them to revert to something front-engined being called a corvette again... at least as long as the C8's around.
and a mid-engined SUV's about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

you mean SuperSport?
something maybe Trailblazer-sized?
Makes sense to me to build a Corvette SUV. It WOULD sell and that’s what GM is in business to do.
there are plenty of Corvette owners alone that would probably buy one.
Just because Chevrolet already sells SUV’s is a lame reason to say this one makes no sense. What makes no sense is GM selling the Equinox and the Blazer, 2 almost identical vehicles. Drop the Blazer and build a Corvette Front engine SUV.
As stated earlier, Corvette is a model not a brand. Did Porsche call their SUVs the 911xxx?
if Chevy wants to take the Corvette drivetrain and stuff it in an SUV/ crossover that’s fine. Remember the GMC Typhoon?
