My station still says shell. Only reason I know its speedway is the charge on my credit card. Now that I know QT is top tier that's where I will go. Costco being top tier also surprise's me .
Which location are you going to? I'm curious now..
mmm, below may be the top flight additive package installer in the station-specific tank trucks at the common tank farm locations where the common gas is delivered, all in the same pipeline.
maybe he put it in, maybe the truck left the farm while he was on break.
and the most important reason to add the Chevron Techron, to keep the sulfur in the gas in suspension, and not accumulating a build up on the fuel sender and causing it to stop working.
Here is the complete list, and it's possible that Speedway is a Top Tier gas but not listed. Since it was bought by Marathon and they are Top Tier, it could be like Chevron and Texaco (bought by Chevron years ago, altho Texaco is specifically listed as Top Tier). Might help to check with Marathon; a single email could answer the question.
yeah, that was the one I went to for years, and a few weeks ago I asked them if the gas was any good, and they said it was not top-tier anymore, super disappointing!
Add this, 1oz, to a fill up and any gas is top tier gas. Since this 20 oz bottle provides twenty applications (at 40 cents per application) you can see that paying top tier prices for only two gallons at a top tier gas station charging 20 cents more than discount gas pays for the techron, leaving you a 16 gal x 20 cents savings $3.20 on every fillup by using discount gas instead of top branded gas. Just by diy top tier gas. A cap from a nyquil bottle measures 1 oz and the emergency funnel included with your vette are the only other things you need
I believe it's 1oz per every gallon, not 1oz per tank.

Not a math major but something is off here with this. You need a bottle per fill up which adds 30 cents per gallon to the cost of gas. In a virtually new high performance engine, driven comparatively little, with Top Tier a penny more per gallon maybe, makes zero sense.

Not trying to fix a dead sending unit, just trying to duplicate the amount of techron in a gallon of chevron gas, hoping to avoid the sending unit ever getting crusted with sulphur.
Chevron engineers have gone to reveal that chevron refineries add an equivalent of 1oz of techron per 16 gallons in their regular and premium gasoline hence price convenient for use. http://altrabiofuels.com/chevron-65740-techron-review/
So, 1 oz techron per 18 gals = .40 cents plus Racetrac gas fillup 18 gal @ $2.95 $53.1 + .40 = $53.50
OR, "Free" Techron in 18 gals Chevron gas @ $3.69 = $66.42 Racetrac premium plus techron added saves me $12.92/fillup.
A bit more than a "penny" savings.

Sometimes a station not listed as Top Tier actually will be getting TT gas just because that's what's in the delivery truck. A check could reveal this.

Terrible they still pass themselves off as a shell station.

If they are operating as Shell and the Shell logo is on each pump, it is required to be Top Tier...that's how the license works. If they have pumps at the same location that do not have the Shell logo, the gas dispensed in those pumps do not have to be Top Tier.
