How do I remove this dry glue from the back of my C7 Seats? I have tried goo be gone and wd-40 but it will not come off. Car only has 3000 miles on it so I know I can take back to dealership but if anyone here can save me that time I would appreciate it.
without knowing the glue type, it would be hard to offer any real advice. Going too aggressive could be costly. Since goo gone didn't move it, its probably a cross linked polymer. meaning it will never soften under chemical reaction. I can not imaging anyone using this type of glue on an automotive application where it should be removed. Good luck... If its the glue used to attach the clear plastic covers on the seats, it should easily be removed with goo gone. you may want to allow a soaked paper towel with goo gone to cover the section of glue for 30 or 40 minutes allowing it to break down the product.

I did not see it when I bought the car but I did not put any stickers on the car I believe it is the shipping protective cover that should be removed from the dealer when they prep the car ......see picture
had the same thing not as bad on only one seat. Could not get it off so wisely left it alone.but yours are way worse. I think there must have been a sticker there that dealer took off during prep.
Try a heat gun and a plastic scraper. Be gentle with the heat and scraper (obviously). Heat should soften the glue enough to where it should "peel off" the seat back.
I agree, no shop or garage should be without a can of 8984 as it has so many uses. The best tar remover you will ever use, cleans paint from my detail bushes instantly and safely removes adhesive residue from any household/or automotive application.
Isopropyl alcohol... then apply your favorite brand of interior protection, i.e., Meguiar’s Ultimate Interior Detailer. The 3M cleaner and WD40 will work as well
