It's awesome that all the wiring meets back there plus the meat of the audio is there too. A number of guys have put in those preloaded boxes. I have the JL stealth box in the corner. I almost 100% like it. I want to make a couple changes to the way it was hooked up. Just need to make the time to go back to my shop to have them do it.
the ONLY bad thing...IMO...is in eliminating the noise cxl feature. There is definitely more low end drone with that system deactivated. I was thinking about getting the M2W kit so I could kill that drone on long haul trips. I do have the NPP fuse pulled right now.
I plan on adding a subwoofer in the spring. Probably the one from Vette nuts. I was up visiting my audio installer and talking on which way to go. I’m leaving the speakers the way they are and just adding amp and processor which my installer will do. Nice thing every thing can be tied in the rear where all the bose stuff is.
Power, ground, snip 2 wires and tap 2 wires all under rear carpet.
Just as an FYI even with the mic wires cut the Bose processing is still being applied.
As mentioned in the linked thread using the front woofer signal would be better then the factory subwoofer output I think. Just apply a low pass crossover at 90Hz or so on the amp to keep mid-range signals out because based on the wiring diagram the front woofer output is full range.
