I have a mustang and Corvette (C7) that I have summer and winter tires for. However, I am a little concerned as to when I should change them over. We are getting into the colder days, but these are days that still get warmer in the day. When do i change them? I am looking for that happy medium between safety and not creating excessive wear.
Days range from about 35-45 degree with a few high days at 50 degrees.
Thoughts?
Internet says change it when degrees hit 40-45, but that could be interpreted as ranges from 45-60, which I wouldn't put on winter tires yet.
If you aren't doing track days with your car, better to put the AS on a little too early than a little too late.
When I see a forecast with any snow within the next week, I do the switch.
