Default Resale value on C7

I have tried to trade in my C7 daily driver in and the trade in value is lower than a Chevy Cruz. Even the sorry dealer I bought it from offered me less than everyone.

What are the specs and mileage of your car and how much did they offer you?

Are you just venting your frustration, or are you asking for info as to what your C7 is worth? If the latter, then you need to supply model, model year, mileage, equipment/features and perhaps most important condition. And photos will help.

Ok so the Chevy Cruze thing was an exaggeration then. 47k miles is pretty high for a 2017 Vette, but $29k is pretty low even for a trade in value. Have you gotten a quote from services such as Carvana, Vroom and CarMax?

Not really a apples to apples but I got the same $29k for my 2013 Grand Sport 2LT with 27k miles in August.

In Texas you would get more. They look at location on trades as well. Here you can drive a Vette year round.

I think Carvana offered me $30,300 at the time but I saved a little more on the tax difference by trading it in.

As mentioned, try selling it here on the forum, or do a private party sale if you are not pleased with what the dealers are offering you - they tend to low ball you on a trade value. Or expand your area - some of the forum dealers will give you a sight unseen trade value so you might want to check with them and see what they offer.

It is was it is. Selling private party will get you the most for it but you’ll have to go through the hassle of selling it yourself.

I got 20k in trade in for an 05 z51 with 70k miles. Seems pretty lowvall for a 2017 z51.

What are trying to trade to? Dealers don't usually offer good trade value unless they are trying to offload something worth some profit.

Yeah, that's LOW. Your car "looks" to be in good condition from the photo. I've found Carmax to be a decent indicator of value when you consider they do need room to mark it up a little for profit. at least in my area. Clean CarFax? Accidents? Been tuned? I can't help but wonder if there's more to the story.

That's low but dealers do that. Good advice above, I'd sell it myself and get $5k+ more.

I guess my '15 must be worth about $11.17 - 93,000 miles..... Of course, I generally put 150K - 200K on my Vettes.... and I split the DD duties with a 32-year-old Ferrari THAT is appreciating...!

CarMax offered me 38k for my 2017 LT2 Z51 with 40k miles. I took 37k for it when I traded it on my new (to me) Z06
