Buy a new C7. Stingray, or, Z51, Stingray.

Know the pitfalls of the GS before buying one.

Other than looks, there's very little reason to pay the Upcharge 💲💲💲 for (GS) one. I don't know about you, but I had/have no use for one when the Stingray, and Z51, Stingray not only look better to me, but have none of the things you can do without. As well as none of the expense of the tractor tyres.

I don't know about that ^^^. It depends on how each particular buyer perceives the Stingrays ride.

What I do know for a fact, is that the MSRC equipped 2017 Stingray handles & rides very tight in ALL modes! ! 👍

I have one of those mushy poor handling non Z51 Stingrays. I bought it especially so I would have a car that didn't beat me up on 50 mile cruises on poor roads. Since I am a very conservative driver and not track oriented, a Z51 or similarly equipped Grand Sport would be wasted on me. As many here have done, I also began looking at used cars but what helped push me into a new car was the warrantee..Too many possible, expensive uncovered repairs facing a three or four year old used car. As the Liberty Mutual commercial states, only buy what you need In this case it applies to the level of trim and options.

If you want to greatly improve your mag ride equipped Base Stingray add a rear sway bar to it Joe.

That’s why magnetic ride is the best of both worlds, it absorbs bumps in the road while still feeling solid and stable even when those bumps are encountered mid-corner. Set the drive mode to touring and have a softer ride or turn it up to sport or track for a true sports car feeling.
I too wanted a good amount of warranty left, so that was part of the search criteria when I was shopping for a used C7. I still have over 4 years of warranty left covering nearly everything on my 2017 Z51 as the warranty did not start until the previous owner purchased the car in late 2017 and he also purchased the factory extended warranty which I was able to transfer for a mere $50 fee.
In your case it sounds like the base suspension suits you and your driving style just fine so it is good that you were able to save some money and still have a car that checks all of the boxes for you.

As I stated the sale on the new cars is until 01-02-20. I have been watching the inventory at a few places in Michigan I think I am going to try a new Stingray 2 LT or a Grand Sport 1LT maybe a 2LT (depending on the deal). Hoping with the first day of the new year and with some left over 2019 I can score a great deal.
If not I will continue to look for a used Grand Sport with low miles. Being in Ohio not far from Michigan I have plenty of dealers around. Not sue if anyone has purchased a vehicle from Rick Conti at Coughlin? I was told that they sell alot of vehicles as well. I emailed him twice with no response. I was just wondering about that dealership.

Right. Now all I have to decide is whether I should buy the GM, sway bar, or, the Hotchkiss brand sway bar /s. The Hotchkiss ones look and are speced pretty darn well! Other than the name "Hotchkiss," I'm all in!

If you're any kind of go-fast driver, (of which I'm not is why I bought a base Stingray), you will want the Z51 at the very least. Don't buy a Stingray with nothing on it. That said, the GS will make your driving satisfaction dreams come true. According to everything I've read from their owners here on C7 forum.

Just a heads up Joe. GM OE Z51 or Z06 sway bars were $310 delivered with all attaching OE hardware from Truck Monkey Garage (Suburban Chevrolet, Sandy, Oregon).
