Hi...I'm trying to stretch the driving season for my C7 through until Christmas as I did when I still had my C5 last year...but a buddy of mine (who probably more wisely has parked his C4 away already) saw mine in the commuter train parking lot this afternoon where I park it daily, and snapped this photo. Wasn't a lot on the ground, and we do live in the Great White North...but remaining optimistic that I can get another week's worth of driving out of it.
I do miss the all season tires that I put on my C5 though...these summer radials really aren't that bad...just have to drive a bit more cautiously.

Ditch the RFs. i did. Put on AS3s. I live in New Jersey. I ll be driving most of the Winter. Planted on the road. and safe. The AS3s are great in weather/cold.
PS I am selling the RFs. Cheap, less than 1K on them, like new.
If you're going to be driving in conditions like that, definitely spring for a set of the Michelin A/S 3+ tires! They are nigh and day better than the MPSS when the temps get below 50 degrees and even more dramatic in below 30 degree temps! Good for you extending your driving season.

Thanks! I probably will put it away in another week or two...mainly I don't want to get the road salt on the underbody. But I agree on the A/S's...I put them on my C5 when it needed new tires, and it was WAY better in the rain as well. I use my Vette's as daily commuter & weekend errand running cars, never been on a track...so don't need performance oriented tires by any means. I can see why they made the A/S's standard on the C8...it makes sense for the majority of owners.

I saw an R8 and a Lamborghini being enjoyed today!
My Z06 has been parked in the garage since Nov. My 500whp camaro is my daily and has winter tires on it. With just above freezing temps and dry roads, the Z06 was constantly blinking the traction light at me and cutting power.
We got dusted here by the same storm system in Ottawa and it just makes the commute feel miserable.

Interesting...I imagine that it's very cautious given the extra 200 HP that you have above my base C7. That wouldn't be fun when it starts to kick in like that.
Camaro is a good substitute during the winter! My son drives his Mustang all year round with snow tires during the winter, and it works great - admittedly it's a 300 HP V6 so not quite the amount of torque.
It's not that bad when the traction control kicks in. The C6 I used to drive would just cut power leaving you kinda wondering when it would pick up and go. The C7 on the other hand has this weird sensation the elsd does by constantly balancing power between left and right. The car gets "squirmy" but not in a way that upsets the rear that it kicks out. The elsd keeps you accelerating forward but it shifts the power left side/right side being mindful of your steering angle that you gave it. The net result is you go in the direction you want, but the "feeling" is unnerving.
At track speeds, the same thing happens at the limit so experiencing it at lower speeds due to colder temps can take the fun out of driving it. With cold tires, contaminants on road like oil and dirt and a few feet separating you from other traffic/curb/ditch and parking it was an easy decision.
Winter tires are not just for snow. They are for cold temps too. Those summer tires won't do you any favors if you need to stop quick. Anything below 7C you should have winter tires or at least all season tires.
Good luck.
I like driving mine as much as possible too, but it's been in storage since November 2.
