Have you looked into a product like clearplex?
I had that installed on my 19 when picked up (2 weeks after it was built). Like a sacrificial skin that can be peeled and replaced for about 400.
Much less intrusive than having the windshield torn out. I have free glass replacement but f those complications. Money well spent imo.

Does Clearplex provide a warranty against chips and cracked windshield that they will pay for the windshield replacement if clearplex fails to stop either?

My 2019 is just weeks old. I've come to realize, the windshield is a FREAKIN rock magnet!! I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time. Was it an easy issue overall? Did you stay with GM OEM? If not, was the replacement just as good with HUD and all. How much? Lotta questions I know, but a general idea of what to expect and avoid?

Unfortunately most new model car & SUV windshields chip or crack very easily because manufacturers have significantly reduced the weight of the windshield because traditional windshield are very heavy and they are looking to remove as much weight from the car as possible.
And Yes, I stayed with the GM HUD because I have a $100 deductible and I talked to a couple people who got aftermarket windshields who said their HUDs were blurry so I did not want to chance it. Full disclosure others have said they had no issues with aftermarket windshields
The most important aspect about having the windshield replaced is making sure the auto replacement tech has actually replaced a lot of C7 windshields. I called my Corvette dealer and asked them who they used. They told me they used the same guy again and again that he had replaced at least two dozen C7 windshields. They even gave me his number so I got to speak with him directly. He was the guy who also replaced my 2nd windshield after it completely cracked after a large rock hit it.

I called several times and finally today was told the order will be cancelled because the $15 shipping charge is too low.
GM Parts Giant seems to be a Broker like Amazon and sources stuff from various dealers.

My Windshield was replaced under warranty (Delamination) and I have a Leak - the Dealer and their Glass Subcontractor have looked at it twice and say there is nothing they will further do to remedy the problem. Other posts here have opined that the Weather Stripping Seal Gasket is easily damaged during removal / replacement, and should have been replaced with a new one. I did not see the P/N for it listed in the Work Order or Receipt
The Weatherstrip Rubber Seal/Gasket covers the Top and A Pillars - The leak is inside the car that starts at the top of the inside A Pillar Trim. The Windshield sealing itself seems to be Good. It is the Weatherstrip Rubber Seal/Gasket that seems to be the culprit.
I am trying to build a case that the Weatherstrip Rubber Seal/Gasket ( P/N 84367842 ) should have been replaced and would like to know if the GM Service Manual specifies this as SOP when the Windshield is replaced
