For 13k, I would go with a supercharger as they are the cheapest way to make more power such as Edelbrock, A&A, ECS, etc. Even with you paying for an install, you should have money left over
If I were you, I’d just sell that car myself (private party) take that money plus the 13k and buy a used Z06 private party. If you throw 13k into this car, you will never get it back out.
Since you are new to Corvette what are your goals for the car? The car as it is definitely hooked you but is there a specific reason for needing/wanting the extra HP? I have to agree that $13K is a lot of cash to sink into your car and from the posts so far are a bit worried about causing possible issues that would lead to expensive repairs down the road.
Seems it hooked you as is, maybe just enjoy the car for awhile and see if the modification bug sticks or fades after a bit.
13k is more than enough, it'll be around 7k for a A&A kit.
no meth means you must keep the power down, you'll blow up the engine unless you start building it out. Meaning new pistons rods etc. Around 650 is the max on this engine on stock parts.
the tune is most important. If you've got 13 to spend put a procharger or a&a kit on it with plenty left over for suspension/wheels related stuff.
Lowered on stock bolts, 29 mm front and 31 mm rear OE Z06 sway bars, Bilstein B8 shocks, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/35/18 and 305/30/19 on OE wheels, Green brand drop in air filter, Soler ported throttle body, Soler throttle controller, tinted windows, side markers and rear reflectors, OE GS/Z06 splash guards.

He’s already not getting back anything close to what he paid for a base rebuilt C7. For a very little more, he could have bought a clean title fully loaded example. This guy is going to **** away $50,000 on a car worth nowhere near that when he could have been driving a Z06. Yikes.
Paid 35k for the car front end damage and does show on carfax (damn them) it's a 2017 with 13500 miles. Your right no resale value probably. Fist time i ever drove a Vette so was so impressed and excited i bought it. All my friends said "don't do it". Oh well is mine now and yep i'm sinking more money into it. I'm 51 years old and not getting any younger Got my money in hand ready to spend it all. **** on tomorrow. LOL
i think i'll have more fun having a build done then just buying a Z06. It's a journey to look forward to

In that case build it! Nothing wrong with wanting it and you have the cash so the dream is within reach. These things are toys and are meant to be enjoyable. The advice you have been given in this thread is all good even those telling you to hang on to the cash. Sometimes that is the hardest advice to take but realize it's not to be negative or deprive you of your dream it's just the reality of the situation. Again, toys are not investments and Corvette's are not investments for 99% of those involved in owning them. They are depreciating assets with the cost of ownership offset by the priceless nature of fun. Some just put a higher price on fun than others but it's all good!! Post up the progress of your build.
You could always take your car to Hennessey. They are making 605 hp naturally aspirated and up to 1000 hp with a supercharger or just copy their builds...
Hennesey. One of my favorite video's of the C7 and Aventador. And for the OP. Once you go down the performance rabbit hole enough is never enough. A 600 HP vette turns into 700, turns into 900....... Also, if the goal is lining up against Lambo's be careful when in Texas. I have a friend there with a 1400 HP Gallardo....
Gotta love it. Vette holds it's own against a Lambo. Could never afford a Lambo
Okay, stay tuned my friend. Been in touch with Juiced Motorsports. Close to making a deal. Had to up the money to 17K. LOL Will list build as soon as money exchanges hands I'll put you on my friends list if that's okay

sounds like a fun project enjoy the process along with my vette I’m building a 68 Gmc truck and I will have double into it than I will ever get back but that isn’t the reason I’m doing it. I’m doing it because it’s what I want and it’s the way I want it

Wow. Thanks so much. Hennessey this Hennessey that you see all over Youtube. Looks like a Ponzi scheme to me. Really doing my research. Can i get a reputable speed shop? Can I get the employees (who actually does the work) be competent and knowledgeable I hope so. I'll even take a backyard mechanic who is trustworthy and just enjoys what he does that is experienced in C7 and the work i want done. Thank for the reply. Anybody out there running their own garage that is the upmost gear head want to make serious cash. LOL
thanks for heads up. was looking at them as well. WOW.

Find your local Akron, Ohio "street scene" on Facebook. Ask them. You'll get multiple replies to different shops throughout the area. Concentrate on those who work on late model Chevrolet muscle cars (Corvette specific would be great!). Warning: this will introduce you to imagining more than 600-650rwhp.
