Default Engine work

Hate starting a thread, but need help. Is there anyone in NE Ohio that will not rip me off and do quality work? May even be willing to drive out of state (not as far a California) for the work to be done. I am also willing to let a backyard mechanic with all the tools and know how to put this thing together. Forged engine, Cam kit, Heads, i mean everything. C7 base model wet sump 2017 13500 miles. Looking for a N/A engine with all the goodies. Callies rods, wiseco pistons ARP bolts, Top shelf everything. I am willing to pay a fair price. All i get is the runaround from various shops. One tells me something and the other tells me something different, I ask a simple question who is the guy doing the actual work and what builds has he done. I get blah, blah, blah and you need blah, blah, blah, Nothing concrete. I just want a build list and whose doing it. So frustrated

well, I guess it all depends on the size of your wallet. however, when modding a car, it's sometimes about "pay me now, or pay me later." (meaning, you go with the wrong shop and things may not happen right away, but down the road when you can't call them on their poor job.....it's your wallet that you have to open---again) I truly understand your hearing several different opinions. I'd say we've probably all been there. this won't be the closest or least expensive but lingenfelter performance has been around a long time. and they have what I've seen/read to be a good record. do some research on them first and then give them a call and talk. not close to you but a few hours. worst case, it's a car on back of tilt-up, not an enclosed trailer. good luck.

Weapon X Motorsports just north of Cincinnati. Upgraded my Z51 to almost 800 rwhp. Great people to work with.

Quick help, your exactly right about others saying just buy a z06, this is just sooo wrong!! Your car built up fairly right will not only smoke a z06 but will sound insane!!! I did something different than your route you want to go,did a procharger ,meth, and headers.Car runs awesome(600 to wheels on mustang)I did all my work cuz couldn’t trust anyone but came down to a good tuner which was very difficult. I’m in Youngstown and used Hutter performance about 1/2 hr north of me. These guys know the lt1. The owner has a c7 and another there has new camaro. Give them a shout.Ask for dusty,he’s easier to talk too. tell him Gary Barnes with white procharger c7 sent you. As far as the zo6 goes......do you know how many used zo6 kits are out there for sale so they can upgrade to more power ??? We are always playing!! Good luck. Gary 330 974 8606

I agree. I heard pretty good things about Weapon X near Cincinnati Ohio, they occasionally post on this forum. Check out their website.

Either of the three recommendations posted above have very good reputations on the forum so it would be worth discussing your plans with them and seeing what each one says. Good luck with the mods to your car.

Check out Big 3 Racing out of Hinckley Ohio. They did some work for me a few years back and did a good job.
