I had a guy in his daddy’s Hellcat wanting to race and I had zero traction as well. Sucks during this time of year since every dumb **** who pulls up behind or beside you wants to race.

The way i see it ....seems like people assume I wanna race them just because iam in a corvette. On the freeway cruising along minding my own biz I recently had a couple younger guys in a subaru legacy ( or something like that ) come up next to me, they kept accelerating and slowing down wile looking at me laughing. They did not give a thumbs up ( hey cool car ) they were clearly making fun of me and my car.
These corvettes attract so much attention good & bad, just passing someone like normal or accelerating in a C7 ( NPP open or aftermarket pipes ) some people take that as a challenge or your showing off. Makes it that much harder to do "spirited driving" around a city cuz you look like a giant *** to most people and definitely to the police.
Thats actually one of the things i dont like about owning a corvette. Some guys love the attention...i dont at all.

From what I have seen, too many drivers rely on the nannies to keep them out of trouble rather than using the foot feed to keep the rear tires from spinning. If you go WOT the tires are going to spin, even on a warm day.
One must always be sensitive to how much traction is available and to drive accordingly. I have driven with the Sport Cups at 40 degrees many times with no issues of breaking the rear end loose, sliding, or having trouble stopping. The car will communicate what it can or cannot do. You need only listen to it.

AS3+, R888R, NT01, even RRs. I've personally used NT01s and R888Rs (my current street tire), and a little RRs in Seattle winter (usually 30-55 degrees F range), and they both worked excellent. I usually have full traction in second gear after just a few miles of driving, and most of the traction is available right out of the garage.
Both OEM Cup 2s and PSS ZPs were terrible in these conditions.

I'm leaning towards the R888r’s. Thanks for the feedback
I put the PS4s on instead of the Super Sports. They're Summer tires but WAAAAAY better in cool temps. I've been pleasantly surprised. So much so, I have not swapped to my AS3 tires on stock rims yet.
625 HP, 50 degree cold cup tires = your driving on ice... I believe a Kia could have passed you with no issue.... Around 70 Degrees it would have been fun.. Get a set of wheels with AS3+ AS tires on them for the winter and then you will have traction down to 0 degrees
yup I love the as3s they are amazing....the summer tires are great on the track and in very hot weather on good streets but that’s about where it ends
