Default Finally pulled the trigger, QuickJack on its way

I've been wanting to get a QuickJack for a while but with my next oil change due soon I decided it was time to do it. I went on the website and found a factory refurbished 5000 SLX unit for under $900. I know some people stray away from refurbs but I've never had a problem with anything I've purchased that was factory refurbished.

My other vehicle is a Jeep, anyone with any experience, will I need to add the additional SUV lift adapters or will I be ok with the standard setup.

Also when I lift my Z, should I use my jack pucks or only the rubber blocks included?

Congrats man, im sure the refurb will be fine. As long as the pump is fine the rest of the units are pretty sturdy

I have a C7Z and the 7000 model QJ, i use the pucks and the small rubber blocks on mine. I guess my car is a bit too low though, i have to drive the front end up onto 2x12's before the QJ will slide under. Maybe the 5k model is a bit slimmer

I have the snap-in/leave in place pucks on our `19 Grand Sport and use the larger rubber blocks with the QJ. Tight fit, but works great.

I'd be super carefull about releasing the locking bar with it being on the inside.

Yes, the lockbars in the photo are on the inside and should be on the outside. Makes it safer to raise and release the locking mechanism without reaching under the quickjack.

Congrats on your purchase - the QuickJack should be a very good addition to your garage.

I wonder who else ordered one yesterday? I woke up with a burning shoulder and tight neck Sunday morning after messing around with jacks and pulling my exhaust down Saturday. Decided a quick jack was long over due and put on order. Hopefully it will lift high enough to get the long tubes in.

For anyone interested here is the link to the Refurbished unit. I also signed up for the email list and got a $100 off coupon for my next purchase, couldn't be used on sale or refurbished products but still good to have for the future.

https://www.quickjack.com/refurbishe...0slx-open-box/

I can't wait to get it. Already have 3 oil changes lined up and I think I'm finally going to change my rear diff fluid.

You will love it. I maintain 5 cars in our family and the QJ makes it soooo much easier!

I know it works for getting the factory manifolds out and Hooker shorty's in. I think it should be fine for the long tubes as well.

Just put long tubes on a few weeks ago with a quick jack plenty of room

That's one of the major reason I bought the QuickJack, LG Pro long tubes have been here for 2 weeks waiting patiently to be put on...
Oh, then there's the install of the ACS Stage 2 Splitter I got for Xmas....oh, and Z06 Side Skirts down the road someday... oh, and the frequent oil changes...the list seems endless...lol.
Man, me and these bad boys are going to get intimate in the coming weeks.

They just hit my doorstep an hour ago. Very nicely packaged and Fedex did a Great job getting them half way across the country undamaged and in pristine condition.

Do yourself a favor and put in some arp header studs. The passenger front and drivers side rear bolts are a pain!

Ordered those bolts at the same time I ordered the headers. For most of the bolts I used a wobble socket and didn't have much issue but it still sucks.

One of the many reason to love this site....such helpful insights to aid the plan before stumbling onto such things in flight.....

Got and set up my 5000-SLX last week. One jack was a little jumpy going up or down with only my weight on it. Bleeding the air from the hydraulic cylinders took care of that. I use lift pucks and the short blocks on my 2019 Grand Sport. Love it so far.

I did the same , I also took off everything that was suggested to be taken off so I had no problem getting them all in , I actually spun them all in by hand ..

Default Fluid For the Quick Jack Pump

I recently received mine and saw that the following fluids can be used:

Hydraulic Fluid ISO-32, 46, or 68. Or …

Transmission Fluid: Merton V, LV, or any synthetic multi-vehicle automatic transmission fluid.

What's the verdict?
