Default Car show - Vacuum

Can someone recommend an automotive vacuum(small inexpensive) that they use at car shows? I know there are many available but there is only so much luggage room when going to an overnight car show.

Thanks in advance

A local car wash will usually offer free / self service vacuums if you can't find a small one.

Just go on Amazon or Walmart and order a "Shop Vac" Brand vac. I spent $50 on a wall mounted unit about 10 years ago and it still works like a charm. Pick out whatever ya like.

A roll of Packing Tape can be helpful for getting the inevitable grass clippings and debris; use like a tacky lint brush on clothes

I got a Makita battery-powered vac to clean my cars. It's compact and takes the same battery used for my drill and impact driver.

I use an Oreck model XLAUTO on my car. Plugs into the cig/power port. Works well, but mine is old and not sure if Oreck still makes them.

As I am sure you have found, the Dustbuster style vacuums are not much help. If the crevice tool is used they work OK for some areas but not so much on the floor. We found a small cordless vac with a powered brush that plugs into the snout for use on the boat and it does a surprisingly good job on the carpet and hard surfaces both. The roller brush comes off so the thing can be used like a regular Dustbuster and has a crevice tool and a couple other attachments that can be stuck on it. Without the brush it is good for catching flies but not much else. With the brush it works really well.

It's too nasty today to go down to the dock and get a picture of it on the boat, but this one is quite similar.

I bought the Deik Car Vacuum from Amazon and it works amazingly well for car shows. I see that its no longer available on Amazon, but any of the portable car vacs will work well, I would get a CORDED vac (battery vacs are weak).

I bought a little Black and Decker unit, has all the accessories and plugs into the console or rear hatch outlet. Came with a fitted carrying case and has very good power for a small vac, I think it cost me about $60.

I got this a couple weeks ago. It works very well which to me is, that it works at all. The hand held rechargeable just did not do a good enough job. This unit also works well when you reverse it as a blower.
