On the Mylink infotainment screen go to Settings, Vehicle, Power Door Locks, Auto Door Unlock, and then choose All Doors.
He obviously has it on if the right door is unlocking while approaching the car.
There is an option for All doors, or just the driver door. I don't know his version of right door. He should have indicated driver or passenger door to clarify.
Sounds like the touch pad on the driver's side is not working properly. They aren't expensive and it takes <15 minutes to swap out the pad.
To be sure, when you pull on the driver's pad to open the door, nothing happens? Correct? When you do that to the passenger door and/or the trunk/hatch both open?

Just the passenger door works correctly.Doesn't affect the trunk.
I can't remember the EXACT procedure but I had a similar issue with my previous car (C6) I removed the door pad and cleaned everything I could find and that fixed the issue.

Yup, I had to do that on my C6 too. Just a light cleaning with some 3000 grit or something like that and all good again. I think I had to eventually replace the driver's pad.
Found the problem guys. The wire to the antenna fell off.The wire was loose and wasn't making contact. The tech. tightened the end of the wire so it won't ever fall off again. He wrapped a piece of tape over the connector and I am back in business. Thanks to all who replied to my problem. Rod
