C7 Stingray starting problems

I get a clicking noise and the check engine light comes on. I have never had this before. Currently at 40k miles. Is the battery just fried? Its only been sitting for maybe 8-10 days.

If all you get are clicking noises, my first suspect would be a dead battery.

Sounds like the battery is a good place to start for the source of the problem, how old is the battery.

Give it a boost and see if it starts,then check for codes, as it could be an alternator, battery or charging system problem.

You don’t mention what by year and how old is the battery. Have the battery checked and go from there.

Not knowing the car and/or battery age, it is likely the battery, but it would be worthwhile to have the charging system checked as well.

Happened to me right at the 3 year mark and 8k miles. Battery was toast.
