I just drive until the warning appears in the DIC (around 4%) and then change. I am not going to second guess the engineers on this. So far this seems to be about 7,300 miles for the type of driving I do. Remember back when quick lube places told you black gold was only good for 3K?

While the power train is under warranty, I'd hate for there to be an engine failure, and then my oil change receipts to show I had ignored the Oil Life Monitor. So I follow the indicated life, even if the oil has only a few thousand miles.
