I let my oil life go to 0%. Now all the 35 percenters are going to put me into oil change purgatory! What will I do, what will I do???
Spousal abuse, bah......child abuse, get over it, even beating your dog, there is hope; but, but allowing the oil life to descend to such hellish levels, how can you look at yourself, how can you rationalize this? I mean one can sympathize that human flaws are explainable and even redeemable but such (in)action on your part leaves one to wonder if there is any hope for humanity.....what's next, buying homing pigeons and moving?

Repeatedly, oil analysis has shown on my engines that the 0% comes about 3k miles before I actually need to change it (9k).
But 0% is just a warning. I go longer because of my miles driven means I would change oil in less than every 2 months.
It's a conspiracy. Mobil kicks back to program the oil change light more aggressively! Kidding of course. But in reality I am guessing we are changing way more than needed. Synthetic oils are pretty stabile. If you want to get more info than you might ever need (along with advice when needed) check out: https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forum...s.php?ubb=cfrm
(actually some interesting advice and recommendations. I switched all of our other engines (generator, lawn mower, ATV, other lawn mower, snow blower) over to just one oil to make life a lot simpler)
I just drive until the warning appears in the DIC (around 4%) and then change. I am not going to second guess the engineers on this. So far this seems to be about 7,300 miles for the type of driving I do. Remember back when quick lube places told you black gold was only good for 3K?
