AC Delco battery date code sequence?
What is the date of this battery?

I have seen dates shown as year/month/day; 04/16/2012. Doesn't look right for your application.

This is a date format that most of the rest of the world uses... of DAY/MONTH/YEAR....so April 12 2016
The battery was most likely made in Mexico.

Yeah, just looked at mine and it's 28/02/14, so it's "day/month/year" for sure. Guess I've been way to lucky with the 6 year mark coming up real soon!! Time to purchase that new one!! As you can see, procrastination is something I'm pretty good at...
