Winter Blues

I can't drive my Stingray right now-even if we had good weather....
I haven't told you guys this, but on January 7th, I had open heart surgery to repair a mitral valve in the lower chamber of my heart. The 6-1/2 hour surgery was successful. But recovery takes time. I couldn't drive a car for 2 weeks. Now I've been cleared to drive, but getting in and out of cars is now different for me. With the Corvette being so low, I can get in and sit in the car, but getting out of the car is a whole different story. I cannot pull myself out of any car with my arms. I need to not pull out of a car with my arms because my sternum was opened up for the surgery. It is now wired shut-my sternum will take about a year or so to fuze together again. I'll have these wires in my chest for the rest of my life. But if I screw up the wires holding my chest together.....lucky me-I get to have another surgery!
I'm recovering well-as a matter of fact, the doctors said I'm a freak of nature. Most people take 6-8 weeks to recover. They released me to go back to work and drive a car after only 3 weeks.
So, for now, the Carbon Fiber Edition sits in it's new garage (my wife and I moved into a new house the week before Christmas). She is covered and hooked up to a charger. I'm not sure when I'll try to get in her and drive.....but I can't wait.
It was mentioned earlier in the thread; when did it become sacrilegious to drive your CV in the winter? Way back when, I drove my 73 year round. Much higher ground clearance etc. etc. but still snow, salt, holes in the road and it sat outside. I cleared the snow and ice off and went to work.
