Depending on your state laws and sales tax rate you can come out ahead trading it in if you are allowed to only pay sales tax on the difference between trade-in and purchase price. I've got a 9.1% sales tax rate here so trading to a dealer at $55k and taking the $5k in tax savings would make more sense then dealing with trying to sell privately at $60k, just depends on what someone will pay you for it I guess. You could always try to sell it yourself to see if you could do better than what a dealer would give you on trade though, it's worth a shot. I've always had better luck negotiating the overall deal when I'm trading since they can make some money on your car and give up some margin on the car you are buying which effectively can add to your trade-in value. Without a trade in I've not had as good of luck getting a decent sale price on a new car.

Right now, I'd hold on to it at least until all the new C7s on the lots are sold as that's when we'll start seeing used values hold steady and then increase a bit on the M7s imho. At least until the C8Z is available...

Sell now. Invest it all in TP and in a year when the C8 z06 comes out you will be able to buy it with extra cash 😁

Thanks Guys for all the on-site. Glad to hear I’m in the ball park on a price. Will definitely be holding out to see what the C8Z has to offer. I’m in Oregon so sales tax doesn’t come in to play. I do plan on just modding it a bit more if I don’t care for the C8Z and if a ZR1 doesn’t play out.

^^^^ Great to hear you're keeping it for the time being. Some here on forum have sold their C7s only to be disappointed in one thing or another about the C8. You've got the ultimate hot rod already, IMO......C7Z/M7.......👍
