Default Considering selling

Am I being reasonable thinking low 60s? Just turned 16k miles.

17 Z06 WGG/BLK
M7
2LZ
Z07
PDR/NAV
MSRP just over 99k
basic mods with stock parts to go back on.

I’m on the fence of selling and getting a 19 ZR1 or the C8Z if I like it.

About 2 months ago a 2017, Z06, 2LZ, A8 PDR/NAV sold locally by a dealer for $59K. It was a low mileage car, but I don't remember the exact number. They tried for $62,500 for a while, lowered the price to $59K and it sold in less than a week. I know, because I was going to give it a test drive and it was gone. Yours is a little more desirable so I think your estimate is pretty close.
EDIT: It was WGG with a gray interior.

I would say low 60's for your Z as described would be reasonable.

Saleen556 - I tried sending you a PM, but your mailbox is full. When you get serious about selling your current C7, I'd be interested in talking with you.

Thanks!

The low 60s price sound reasonable. Best of luck if you put it up for sale.

Hang on to it for another 1-1.5 year, and see how the market for manuals shake out now that they’re no longer available in a Corvette.

Not that this is going to happen to C7s, but in just about every other performance make/model, once they stop offering manuals the used market either held FIRM or in some cases shot up in value.

I postulate that manual c7s may be desirable in the near future, and will likely start holding value at the 3 year mark after the introduction of the C8.

I think $59k for a quick sale. You've got a great color, M7, Z07. As for miles, not that they're high by normal standards, but lower mile Z06s are plenty.

Yep if I decide to sell it won’t be because I have to. I know it’s not what’s considered a low mileage Z. I take good care of it but enjoy it as well. These cars are to fun to let sit in the garage and depreciate 👍🏻

If you have an M7 in your Z06 I wouldn't give it up unless GM comes to its senses & offers a manual for the C8-Z. Of course if you can find a ZR1 M7 that's a whole new ball game. Good luck!

Price sounds pretty reasonable to me. Your ZO6 is equipped similar to my '19 ZO6 except for my Jake Hood Stinger and 2 -tone Adrenaline Red/Black seats. I'm also in the same boat as you concerning the C8 ZO6, I like the C8, but I really love my ZO6 and I'd consider going for a C8 Z51 would be a bit of a downgrade, plus I'm thinking the ZO6 will be a bit more aggressive looking. The lack of a manual option is a bit disappointing, but not necessarily a deal breaker, so I'll wait until I can get back to Spring Mountain to drive a C8 on track. I'm not even considering selling my ZO6, but I've had several guys offer to buy it, and they're telling me the reason is to get the manual transmission, the exact reason I ordered it that way.

The nice thing about a trade in is that you won’t have every test pilot in your area come by to take your baby for a ride. I would be concerned about that aspect of selling privately, and might be worth it to lose a bit of money to a dealership in order to avoid those idiots.

I agree not just the test drives but people who say they are coming and don't show ,unreasonable demands and offers. People who will ask you if will finance it. They will low ball you and give you a sob story about how you should sell it to them. Beat the crap out of it on a test drive then tell you they will think it over. yes you can get more money for it but it is not worth the hassle.. I was a selling a later model acura it had been side swiped but was repaired perfectly I took it to his body shop who told him it ws repaired perfectly. he offered me less then the trade in and when I tiold him no kept calling me and annoying me even after I traded it in. Nope not going to put myself through that again

Haven’t had any issues with that. Just sold my Raptor without a test drive. As long as their is warranty I find most don’t worry about it.

I personally would not sell your Z06 for a C8 right now but that's just me. At least keep it until the discounts start to appear, or the Grand Sport or Z06 come out. The C7 Z06 is a beast.

I'd never sell my Z for a Base Model C8. Now a 2019 ZR1 that's what I'm talking about!!!!!!!! [only if it was a manual] I think about selling mine for a ZR1 occasionally myself. If I ever thought about the C8 it would have to be the Z06 or no dice. The only problem with that is no manual and I like the lines and the looks of my Z BETTER. Good luck with your decision.

Keep it. The financial markets are a shambles. It will be a long time to get back to normal.
If the buyer has cash, most people will try to beat your price up, especially if they think you
really want to sell.
I think all used cars for sale are going to take a hit, not just Corvettes.
Dealers need to move inventory to keep the finances flowing.
