Default 2017 Corvette engine warning-bad spark plug?

I have a 2017 l2 corvette stingray with just over 11,ooo.miles Yesterday i got an engine warning lite and the car was shaking badly...
Turns out if was a miss fire in cylinder #1...Spark plug was bad..They are going to replace and drive around to see if anything else happens???
Has anyone had this issue...It happend 2 months after warrenty was out.......They said they had no idea why it happened...I guess you just cross it up to shi* happens????
Scared me to death...I could just see a bill for thousands...Still going to be $200+ ...Its a corvette

Yep, Sh**t happens usually those plugs are good to 80,000 or more! but they are considered consumables. so no coverage
if it is any consolation probably never happen again (to You)

did that fix it for you? I had a similar issue that turned into much more... thought it was a spark plug, that didn't fix it, now they're replacing a cylinder head. Lucky you!

2 months after warranty was out? The drivetrain warranty is 5yr/60k, so if it turns out there is an engine issue, it should be covered for a while longer.
