I need to retract my previous comment. I decided to try taking out the targa roof on the C7, and it really isn't bad up to about 55 mph. My C6 was much more violent, and the C4 was unbearable.
I went ahead and purchased the coupe Windrestrictor (just plain, no lights or graphics). Took about 30 minutes to install; pretty straightforward, easy installation. Very good instructions and they have an installation video on their website. I am very pleased with the product. It significantly reduced wind buffeting at highway speeds. Rear vision is not restricted (but mine is clear without any tints or graphics. You can still access the rear storage area from inside the car. I would unhesitatingly recommend this product to C7 coupe owners. It really does the job.

Coupe and vert are totally different. Coupe gets a lot of buffeting at speed from air getting trapped in the rear hatch area. C4 the easy solution was a hatch vent, but that doesn't work on anything newer. Verts are much better top down.

Yep, same thing I've experienced. Top off up to about 50-55 is fine, but above that the buffeting is bad. C6 was worse (bad enough I never took the top off again after the first time). C4 is bad but as mentioned easy answer is a hatch vent, which makes it work really well (other than the body feeling like a wet noodle with the top off). Definitely interested to see feedback on the windrestrictor for the coupe, didn't realize they were making it for the coupe.
The convertible part is different as the mounting points change. I had one in a convertible.
The Miata's have something similar for a pinch - it's clear plastic (like a rear window on a rag top), but has straps that loop around the two seats - about $40. Wish I'd kept mine.

That depends. I test drove a Vette and it was very noisy in the rear. I bought the sound deadener kit from the Corvette Cowboy, and that quieted down the rear (and cockpit too). This is more for wind, especially if you are prone to drafts around the neck and head. Since this is solid acrylic or similar, it would reduce some noise from the rear, but not like that sound deadener - that's stuff is great. Also, the acrylic doesnt extend down completely, so it may allow sound to funnel through underneath. I cant get a good picture of it with the seats tipped forward. If it does extend down then you lose easy access to hats, visors, etc you may locate behind the seats. It is a clever solution though.
The foldable one I had in my Miata was great for quick install, etc. I had a flip down German Oris Windstop, and while that was great, it required some planning if I had to take it down (room in the trunk). I also bought a clear one like this, and it's also for a more permanent install with no capability to flip out of the way. The biggest difference I see is that they don't extend down like the one's I had for the Miata, which allowed wind to come through the bottom, blowing around anything loose (paper, etc).
Hmmmm, I have been interested in a wind restrictor for my C7 coupe. I had one that mounted on the top of my windshield for my C5 and it worked great. So far I have not been able to locate one like it for my C7. Anyone know of one besides the one that goes behind the seats???
