I have a 2014 and when I put the car away for the winter my two remotes worked. This spring only one remote works. I have changed remote battery twice and to no avail. The battery I installed had the hatch marks on the back. However is it possible that I lost the program in the remote and if that was the case can I reprogram the non working remote. thank you.
There is NO program in the remote. All of the "smarts" are in the car. First - double check that the fob battery is good - above 3 volts. New does not automatically mean good.
If you decide to replace the fob be aware that there are 4 different possible fobs for each model year range (combinations of auto/man and couple/vert). Fobs are the same for model years 2014-2015 and for 2016-2019.
The programming procedures are in the owner's manual and in the Sticky notes. If you have a 2LT or 3LT and wish to maintain memory features you'll need to use the long procedure. The short procedure will make the new fob #3 which does not have memory features assigned.

The hash marks can be a problem. CR2032 Ray-o-vac with hatch is BAD.
I had a similar problem with the remotes for my garage door opener. One just did not work. I checked the voltage of the battery for the non-functioning remote and it was above 3 volts (same battery as the C7 remote - CR2032). In desperation, I replaced the battery and viola, it works! The kicker is that the new battery actually tested at slightly lower voltage on my multi-meter than the battery that I replaced. Go figure!
