Hey all. I picked up a 2014 Z51 Stingray last week. A6. 19500 miles. Love the car. It is amazing. It does not have the performance exhaust though and is too quiet for me. I don’t want it obnoxious but wouldn’t mind it being a bit louder and a little more performance is always good. Any recommendations? Maybe some less expensive options for now and save for a new exhaust system down the line? Thank you in advance for you replies.
1) Look for USED American Racing, Kooks , Texas Speed or another well fitting well built Headers...
2) Rear, Read, Read these forum pages to decide what Brand, Style, Sound of USED Muffler System
You "Think" you'd like....
3) Im also thinking a Used NPP factory Muffler System could be made to work in your NON NPP Car ????
ARH 3" Catted X-Pipe ARH ! 7/8" Stainless ARH 3" Exhuast Pipes Reduced to Fit the 2 1/2" NPP Grand Sport Mufflers ARH 3" mated to 2 1/2" NPP over the axle pipes

Used set of npp mufflers are the cheapest option. usually $200 - $400 a pair. The npp valves are normally open and the sound will always be loud. Most for sale do not include actuators but that is ok because your cars computer system cannot be modified to make them work. They also should get you that extra 5hp advertised. I went with AWE afm valve back system and is very obnoxious, but pleasing to me. All aftermarket systems are quite expensive.

AWE off road Xpipe with pup cat delete...get it NOW...our government has forced the stop in manufacturing...just enough for me...2015 Z51 npp...best of luck...by the way...no codes thrown...only the main front cat's are monitored....tons and tons of discussions here on the forum.
Any smog issue or warranty issues going to X-pipe?
I say no, but I've never tested the warranty. You "might" get caught up in a smog issue if they do physical inspections (taking off the tunnel plate). I have not heard that stock motors + mid-pipe has created a failed emissions. YMMV.
I doubt it will, and/or, will never get caught. I don't believe there is anything in the CARB documentation that states an "xpipe" is not emissions compliant. There would have to be, because it's simply just re-routing exhaust.
I've ran xpipes for years on various LS cars, and never had a problem with emissions in southern california, where I had a ls1 TA, but technically speaking, I don't even know if it was actually legal or not!
I put Corsa Sport axle back on mine and love it. No extra HP but the sound is perfect, for me at least. Completely different vibe when driving the car now. 2019 Stingray manual tranny convertible mag ride
OP get yourself a X-pipe without the back cats & call it a day for now that will get you a bet more sound out of the car. But if you have the money get you a set of KOOKS 1 7/8 LT headers and a x pipe with the stock mufflers. Robert
