Sadly, no... For some reason GM decided to get into the nav business instead of contracting with vendors (Google, Waze, Garmin, even Apple Maps) who "do maps" for a living to provide a good, reliable, user friendly system. I use it mostly for real time location and it does do some tasks well, but the voice instruction set is brain dead. Siri does a much better job of interpreting navigation requests than does my C7s Nancy the Navigation ****...
My first car with a nav system was an '11 Mustang GT Sync system which is still reliable, and after a honeymoon trial period, I have been disappointed by GM's navigation "solution" despite its being newer and potentially more advanced.

The Corvette NAV system is OK, but yes, it could be better. I wish they would have gone with a company like Garmin for the system, but they didn't. I have to admit that the system used by Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep is much better in terms of functionality and data display than the GM system - but that is just my opinion after having used both for a while.
Anyway, I have a 2014 also and it seems that my NAV system has worked better ever since I did a map update in January 2019. Just a thought.
Jack, I will confirm and totally agree regarding Jeep's nav. far FAR superior in EVERY way than what GM put in the C7. Doesn't even compare really. I've had 3 generations of Jeep NAV and even the older one was better and that was a 2009 Grand Cherokee. The '14 was awesome...my old SRT.
Anyway....wish my Vette was 16 or newer for CarPlay. Yes Yes....I know....Navtool. Maybe some day. LOL
can you describe what you do not like about the nav. I personally like it. Perhaps I can assist you. To me the picture is clear, shows up in the HUD, can tell to avoid higways, tolls, etc. You can press the on star button and tell the girl where you want to go and the destination is downloaded (this works great for my 85 year mother).
The stock Nav suffers from poor voice recognition and poor maps (even some long time businesses can't be found). When a location is found the directions work well with the large screen to glance at.
The voice recognition is horrible. Ok Google on my phone or using Android Auto can figure out what I'm saying even when I'm eating, but Chevy Nav has NEVER, not once gotten it right. I've tried parked, engine off, dead quiet, clear pronunciation. Nope.
The factory nav is al VERY picky about the actual town. You just can't be close enough. Thank the gods that I pay OnStar $35/month...lol Which reminds me, I need to cancel that...
The C6 nav down fall was it created when the C6 came out - 1995 I think and was never updated..so it was pretty sad. The Voice nav for me works fine but I have to admit most of the time I either call On Star and tell them where I want to go (they can also tell you things such as nearest comfort center (rest stop),etc. I also as someone mentioned using the chevy app and sent it to the corvette.
For the comment it does not know of roads,etc...get the lastest update....I did and now it knows about the two brides installed 2 years ago.
There is also a nice you tube video regarding the NAV recorded at the 2014 bash.

Exactly! By and large, all navigation systems get you where you are going. That's easy to do. It's the feeding the destination and otherwise interacting with the system that's bad and that is very important.
My 2014 C7 has a little over 11,000 miles on it. A few days ago, I tried using the navigation system for really the first time since I bought the car.
The navigation system really sucks. I hope the newer cars are very much improved.
Not by much, thankfully the 2016+ have Android/Apple Car play where you can use Google maps, search etc. The only positive about the C-7 Factory NAV is it’s better than the C-6 NAV (by a lot).
All navigation systems suck, they just suck in different ways.
Anything except the factory Nav sucks because:
Not covered by warranty or extended warranty.
Does not project turn info onto the HUD.
More easily stolen.
May require plug-in power or recharging batteries.
May not mute music during turn directions.
Etc.
Pick whatever works best for what you are doing, learn to use it, and accept the fact that it's not perfect.
We have 3 cellphone Navs, 2 Garmins, 2 other-maker factory Navs, Waze, etc. All of them work, none of them are perfect.
We've driven nearly 200k miles over most of the US and Canada using C6 and C7 Navs, worked pretty well for us.
