I have a 2016 Corvette. How do I get my curb camera to come on by itself when I am driving under 5 MPH? I know they are supposed to automatically come on. Right now they only turn on after putting the car in reverse or by manually pushing the camera button.

There is a camera icon on the infotainment screen. Touch it and the front cameras should come on. you can switch between fwd and rear cameras with the icons at bottom of screen.

I got a 2016.. I just wish GM didn't make it impossible to add it to my 1lt =-/ I mostly back in if I can but there are times I cant and I start sweating when parking.
Back in problem solved 👍🏻 It’s a great feature but it’s not difficult to learn to park within a foot of the curb without it. I still remember when we had to even back up without them 😄

Look into the Navtool. It will allow you to have a front camera.
THis is the thread from hell while wee were installing it when it first came out. Installation is not horrible but can be challenging if you are a clutz. Around $450 or so plus a $30 camera.
They dont come on automatically going forward, only in reverse.
I'm almost positive my front came on the other day after inching up from being in reverse. Not 100% sure but I do remember the front being on and I don't remember hitting the camera icon.

Yes if you hit reverse and then go to first they come on.

You are correct, I should have included more info - the cameras will initiate on their own when the car is put in reverse (but not in forward at slow speeds), at that point if you put into a forward gear the front cameras will turn on as long as you are below a certain speed - once you speed up the front cameras will turn off on their own.

Think of the gear selection if you are parallel parking your car. You pull up to the space, put it in reverse back in and finish off by going 1st or D to snug in the front of the car. Reverse then drive will get the camera to come on automatically. It will turn off around 9 mph. You can turn the camera on by "command" by touching the camera icon on the NAV screen.
My Navtool works the same way, reverse then drive turns on the front camera and it goes off at 9mph. I can manully command the camera to come on by depressing the "Back" button for 2-3 seconds and I get a front camera that WILL NOT turn off until I press the "Back" button again.
