Last Spring I did my 15 Z51 27K miles with CQuartz ceramic coating & was happy with the results. I was going to do my wheels with it but was advised not to because of heat buildup.
Has any one used a coating that reduces the brake dust & if so what did you use & was it effective? I would like to try it before I go to the expense of putting on dustless brake pads.
Thanks.
I asked about putting a coating on new Forgelines I will be receiving soon. I was advised not to. Was told to just use soap and water. Not sure why, but they know better than me.
I was told to wait to apply ceramic coating to wheels until after tires are mounted and balanced. The reasoning is if you apply the ceramic coating prior to mount and balance, the balance weights may not adhere to the barrel of the wheel fully and you could throw a balance weight at speed. Sounded logical to me so thats what I did.

Who said that? I called Forgeline and they said no problem I didn’t have too, but if I wanted to go ahead They have had numerous customers coating them and said he never heard of a problem I have Forgeline VX1.I ceramic coated them with 2 coats of CarPro Dlux, then put on TLC and then hit them with AMP Look AMAZING!!! and are slicker then slick can be Hardly anything sticks to them I usually dust them off with a waterless wash every 500 miles. Just to get them gleaming again 😉
Head over to the Car Care Section.I started a thread over there. Also a specific thread was started with the best rims around...Yup Rich-man Forgelines

I have cquartz pro on my black oem wheels, and will have it applied next month when I get my new wheels back from the painter.
I’m not sure if it matters, but I don’t think that’s for high heat like like wheels I’m sure it will still work though Just don’t know if it will last as long or be as durable IMO

If you can find an installer in your area this is worth a serious look. In my opinion, you might be able find a coating as good as this one (and that's a big "might"), but you will find none better than this one. I elected to go with this one:
Modesta Glass Coating BC-06. I also have their Flagship BC-5 on my Z06. I'm wildly impressed with their products. Pricey, but I sincerely believe it is worth it.
