I have found an XPEL dealer locally, and want to have the front of the car done, before the sand blasting commences.

My question is: Should I do just the "nose", front bumper and front portion of fenders/hood ? Or should I opt for the entire fenders, headlights, and entire hood. The installer does not recommend going over the Stinger Decal, which makes sense, but he said he has a template which will enable him to to the entire hood around the decal ?

This isn't so much about the money, or cost, it's only about a $700.00 difference to do "entire" panels fenders/hood as opposed to partial panels. I am not wild about having seams in the middle of the panels, but maybe I am over-reacting, thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. Two photos of car included.

Late to the party but I just got my 2019 Z back from the Xpel treatment. I went a little overboard by covering everything but the roof panel and hatch. Following that, I did two coats of Halo (GTechniq's 'ceramic' specifically for PPF) and the car looks incredible. I also have the peace of mind that it's not going to be destroyed by rock chips when I take it out. It might be a small investment now, but it'll pay off for sure. The ease of cleaning and protection is more than worth it IMO.

Congrats on the new ride, it looks terrific!

So I got my C7 back a week and a half ago, and am extremely pleased with the results. I ended up doing the whole hood (less the stinger decal), both full fenders , the whole front bumper, headlights and mirrors. He used the XPEL Ultimate.

I installed the extended splash guards F & R, and put 3/4 length Carbon Flash OEM skirts on from a new Z06 to stop the damage to the rockers and bottom of the doors.

I am waiting on a bottle of the XPEL sealant to be delivered, which I will apply when it gets here. Yeah it was $21.00 but I am already into this protection for a significant investment. And I am still waiting on the Carbon Flash Cross Flag OEM GM emblem I ordered to replace the one he removed for the install. He carefully removed the chrome Stingray badges, and I asked for them to be left off... Fortunately, there's no evidence they were ever there. Just my personal preference.

Regarding the $437 for the front bumper, that doesn't sound too bad, I paid $1405 for the work I had done. Seems to me that prices vary significantly so shopping around pays off. I was quoted as high as $2000 for the same amount of coverage.

Also seems worthwhile to make sure the shop is an authorized XPEL dealer so there's no issue if there is a "warranty" claim. Apparently not every shop applying the XPEL PPF is a fully authorized dealer ?

The paint on this car was immaculate before, only 5,500 miles on a 2015 always garaged, under cover and detailed. So it looks exactly like it did before the film was applied which was exactly what I was hoping for.

Nearly all my driving, with a random exception, is under 55mph on good roads....thinking about this one just bc i hear the front bumper takes a beating
I don't think it's a bad price, but I don't think that's the price of materials. I think I paid close to that, and I didn't know him and it was a shop. I doubt he did it for free labor. That may be the price for you to purchase it at retail price? I don't know, but that seems about right. I think doint the front bumper is a no brainer, but that's just my opinion. The side mirrors protrude quite a bit too and should be relatively inexpensive. Small easy area. I did the lights, but that's up to you. I wish I could do something good about the windshield. The windshield is a freakin rock magnet!! I also have gravel splash guards.
