I am just about to purchase a new 2019 stingray. It has white mirrors and I want black mirrors. Does anybody know the approximate cost for a OEM set of black mirrors. Are they easily replaced?
You could also have them wrapped black if you can't easily have them replaced. The wrap is replaceable if you change your mind , and protects what it wraps.
I really like the black mirrors too, had them on my 1st C7 and will likely change mind out on the current!
GM only sells the mirror housing and base unpainted and I believe theyre about $400-500, and another $200 to have them painted. Due to the shape of the mirror housing, you'll have a few seem lines if you get it wrapped and the color and glossiness of the wrap will not match carbon flash exactly. What I would recommend is either checking the for sale section of this forum or on Ebay for a used set of carbon flash mirrors. It doesn't matter if it's from a Stingray, GS, Z06 or any trim package, the base and housing is the same, just swap over the internals. Used sets can be had for $250-400.
You can refer to the post here to how to swap the mirror housing:
Have you seen a wrapped car? You likely could not tell, my point is mirrors are wrapped where you cannot tell. Its heated, stretched, etc., not a big deal for a professional installer. Heck we even have our helicopters wrapped and you cannot tell its not painted. My guess is about $200 to have both mirrors done by a pro. Yes, they have carbon flash wrap,

3M makes a gloss black metallic that’s very similar.

I have my mirrors wrapped with the PPF and you cant even tell, except for a line or 2 where the seams are. Impossible to wrap mirrors with no seem due to the shape. It looks great and I'm very OCD. So if it's good for me it will be definitely be good for you.i It's all up to the installer so he or she better be really good. I did have to have my installer re wrap 1 mirror because I wasn't happy. The 2 time it looked great. So it could be done with the right installer. If you go with a wrap I found that 3M 1080 G 212 is the closest match you'll find to the OEM carbon flash metallic. Good Luck
A friend had his wrapped 5 yrs ago with no problems. The mirrors get rock chips and wrap will protect the paint. They are expensive and not easy to replace.
I just took mine off and had them painted a couple weeks ago. Not a bad job to remove yourself and a big savings from having the body shop do it. I paid $185 total......very happy with the results. I was quoted anywhere from $150 to $300 to have them wrapped. Going to have the Xpel put on them now to protect the paint.
