Default Washer pump help

Ok. First go figure that my 3/36 warranty had expired a few months ago. My wife n I took our summer trip to Florida And so I love driving the vette. Go figure we hit a little rain. No big deal to me. But my windshield got discussing. Hit the washer lever n nothing. So I looked on here and looked like no big deal. So I ordered the part and put it in today. Still doesn’t work. Checked the fuse. It was fine. Any ideas? Guess I’ll check the old part with a battery tomorrow and use a test light the check the wiring.

Can you hear the pump when you try it? If so maybe issue with tubing somewhere.

Default Update

Well I took my old pump to my shop this morning and it works. So guess my next step is to see if I’m getting power or have a clogged line. Geez

Part Number 22999423

That's all I have on the pump. If I remember small stones or debris can get in and stop it from pumping. If you took it out you may have jiggled the debris loose and have fixed the issue.

Welp, that sucks. I guess you're on the right path to see if there is 12v getting to the pump.

Good luck,

Default Aha!

Ok. Well turns out the part number I got from trunk monkey (I think) wasn’t the part number everybody had on here so I don’t think anything of it. I received the part and it looked the same lol. Turns out the wiring harness was just a little different which I didn’t catch. Went n bought a part from autozone n no problem. 20 minute job max only took 3-4 hours lmao. Oh well. Also I never removed the wheel and only took the wheel well loose. Anyways.

So..... Was our part number on here correct? If not, what is the part number?

Disconnect the hoses from the spray nozzles and try it. If liquid comes out the hose with some pressure, your nozzles are clogged.

He said he had the wrong new part. He replaced the pump with the correct part and it works. I'm trying to verify the part number.

Default Ok

Well the correct part number as listed on here should have been 22999423. On trunk monkey I found 22680320. I used autozone part number 5-154.

OK, my number was good and I'll add the Autozone part number to my records.

Thanks for the information.

Default My 2 cents

Well. Seems like I had one fail in my Chevy cavalier when I was in high school and I went to get a replacement n I really think that things was $50-75. Has to be close. This one was like $25. So like most modern stuff cheap junk. My guess anyways.
