My ,07 GS w/30,000 miles has now started to have dash "shrink" on the drivers side near the windshield air vents. Leather or pleather? Should be a warrenty issue.
Anyone have experience? Do they have to dismantle the entire dash to fix/replace ? I hate to leave it in a shop for 2-3 weeks in the summer and have them do something else wrong.....
is this a 3lt? If so others have reported this issue. If still under factory warranty yes be covered. My understanding entire dash has tobe replaced...cost is about 6000
Sorry to hear that my 15 has them same problem on the passenger side but I am way out of warranty and I live with it. It should be covered under your3yr 36k bumper to bumper but if not I have read its about $3300 to fix and dash has to be taken apert and sometimes the windshield is removed

Yes, entire dash and console have to come out. You may want to try to get them to install 1LT/2LT dash as some have reported their second 3LT dash also shrank.
Look on the bright side, it the dash continues to peel back it is an added layer of safety, along with the airbags, in a front collision accident,,, do not tell this to chevy, as they will bill you for it.
There are a LOT of posts here about this. Try an "Advanced Search" with all C7 options active.
But, I can agree with others, should you have it replaced, try to "down-scale" to the lower level part if you intend to keep the car very long, since they will simply put back in the same as they are removing. I had the same happen with my C5 door panels... old s**t taken out, new s**t put back in, DONE!
