I usually dont drive my C7 Corvette if it is gonna rain. I wash it and try to keep it looking spiffy.
I got caught out in an Indiana summer shower about a couple weeks ago, and I turned the wipers on. Just about every time it swiped, it sounded like the passenger side was hitting something. Not every time, but probably 8 times out of 10. I had to get home so I continued to use them and got home. I thought I would see what was rubbing the next day.
Nope can't find a thing. It appears that the passenger side wiper arm does not sit as far down as the drivers side, and I am wondering if the has slipped on the shaft.
Please see pictures and compare to your C7 to see if you can see anything. I cannot find anything it was rubbing on. While it appears to me that it has moved on the shaft, I dont know, but never had anything like this in my 56 years.

Use the Intermittent setting instead of the fixed low or high settings.
I think the water on the sloped windshield is acting as a lubricant and
causes the blades to skip across the windshield.
Adjusting the Intermittent setting adjustment will help your issue.
Like others stated, your positioning looks about right, however the arm only needs to be "off" slightly to hang up.
You may need to make a slight adjustment as recommended above ion post #2. You should have a small reference dot in windshield near P/S blade end. Your windshield really needs to be wet to properly adjust as there's typically too much friction to adjust arms/blades on a dry windshield.
Good luck.

Well mine did sit up like the rest of yours. I saw either here on this forum or somewhere else that it could be lowered somewhat so it doesnt sit so high. . lift the cap off the bolt that holds the wiper arm in place and lower it some about an inch or so. I think it looks better and I have not noticed a difference in the area cleaned by the wiper. Sorry no pic its 1045PM

I'm like you, I don't drive mine either if it's suppose to rain, so I removed the passenger side wiper blade because I don't like the way it shows above the hood line. I kept the drivers side wiper on just in case I ever do get caught in rain and it's hidden behind the hood, unlike the passenger side wiper blade. Looks much better without it. I placed a black rubber cap over the nipple for the washer fluid hose and one to cover the spine shaft up.

Check to see if the arm is tight! The wiper looks positioned correctly. Look at the end of the blade with a light and you will see a clear dot in the dark portion of the windshield where the blade should be lined up with, if this is lined up take off the cover over the arm and see if the nut is tight. There are good YouTube videos on these two items.

I agree. First thing I did on both my C7's was to lower the passenger side wiper blade. Never could figure out why GM installed the passenger side wiper so high. After lowering it, you don't see the damn thing from inside your car. And, as stated, no issues with wiper arm functioning properly after lowering it. Takes all of 2 minutes to do.
