Hello. I have a samsung galaxy note 10 (android phone) and a 2016 corvette. I was looking for a way to play spotify music wirelessly in the car. I can connect a USBC to USBA wire from phone to car, and android auto works fine. However, I've been looking for a way to do this wirelessly. I found AAWireless on indiegogo here: AAWireless | Indiegogo. This is a crowd funding site, and there are thousands already in customers hands. At under $100, I decided to risk it. I also found someone with a C8 who has an AAWireless device on youtube here: AAWireless Unboxing / Review - 2020 Chevy Corvette C8 - Bing video. Seems it works well for him I gather. Anyway, I signed up for one of these devices, and I'll report back once I receive and test it.

Works fairly well now on my 2016, so I'd imagine the c8 also handles WAA just fine.
Have an AAW in my daily driver, and it works ok there. Only issue is that the Waze voice route directions tend to cut out.
The one I got for my DD took like 7 months to come. I ordered another for the C7 even though many Camaro owners reported issues at the time. The new firmware seemed to clear those issues up. But I suspect it won't come for another 7 months

I went with CarDongle version (like AAW) but haven't received mine yet. They had issues with GPS in the first version so I opted to wait for version 1.5.
I'm a beta-tester for AAW and have several devices, but unfortunately it's hard for me to use because of the de-googled nature of my phones. What works best for me is to use a USB-PD splitter so I quick-charge my phone and ALSO use AA at the same time.
Currently I leave an old Galaxy S9+ in my car, using the splitter to connect it to data of the AA, and then power comes from my large battery backup. S9 stays charged all the time, even when the car is off.
I also ordered the cardongle, because the current solution is not very smooth for phone calls. I'm not confident it will work any better, because it's glorified vaporware/clone stuff, but we'll see.
Yep it's a neat concept but I don't necessarily understand why. Maybe so you can take the phone off the cable to take a picture or to walk around a bit. Otherwise, I need to be charging mine anyhow, ESPECIALLY when using Android Auto with navigation.
If I was silly enough to leave my phone's original google spyware installed, I would consider the freedom to unplug for a quick picture or text to be useful. Otherwise I would just do USB-PD charging w/ Android Auto wired. WAA drains my Galaxy S9+ and Pixel 4 XL batteries even on a USB-PD charger, haha. Get way too hot, unfortunately. Other phones fair better I'm sure.
For the price I say it's an impulse buy and you're supporting some really good dudes. It has been an immense amount of work for the two devs, and the OG beta testers. I must have put in 150 man-hours to the project. Luckily I enjoy tinkering.
It makes the most sense if you have a wireless charger in the car like most new cars. With AAW you would be able to charge, use AA and never touch a wire.

What wattage is your wireless charger? I've never seen any over 7-10w. That definitely wouldn't keep my phone at 100% while running WAA, much less charge it up if it were low. Considering I can watch it drop while doing WAA on an 18w USB-PD charger.
Granted, I leave my phone screen on, in my magnetic mount as an auxiliary display. AA is too crippled for anything but Waze, really. Options are nice to have though, and there's no reason why you can't just plug in when needed. I keep my dongles behind the screen in case I'm feeling froggy. Since I need a cable to charge anyhow, it's more of a toy for me than anything else. I appreciate the custom 'hacky' possibilities that are hidden behind the scenes.
There is also a Kickstarter fund for CARSIFI another small startup developing a wireless AA dongle that shows promise. I joined the Kickstarter fund for it. It will be $85 and supposedly available in late October, hopefully... I liked the fact that iit's a small form factor and fits well in the center console from the pics they have posted on their website.

Latest update on this shows delays due to shipping logistics. They are targeting mid to late December for delivery to us early orders... Updates as I get them.
