Default 8 speed auto. trans.

Yesterday I took my 2016 corvette to my dealer because of either the transmission of torque converter has a problem. Two of my club members had their torque converter or transmission changed.I have 18,400 miles and I started feeling shudders and jerking. I was told to take it in. My 3 year warranty is over but wanted to know if there was a recall due to a defective trans.
I was told that they would flush the fluid and reprogram the trans. does this sound like a fix??? $1,500,00.

Go on Goggle , Look up GM TSB 18-NA 355 . Mobil One has a new fluid to fix this .LV ATF HP Blue lable .GM will pay for this . 1,500.00 is you getting ripped off . Good Luck , Power train warranty is 4 years . Get a Range device .

The transmission and its components should be covered under the power-train warranty which is 5/50k miles I believe so they should not be charging you anything.

Should be covered under your 60/60 power-train warranty, not your 36/36 btb warranty. The triple-flush (TSB 18-NA 355) typically fixes it.

$1500 - sounds like they are trying to screw you. Get a second opinion and mention the power train warranty coverage.

TSB: 18-NA-355 addresses the shudder and explains the triple flush. TSB: 16-NA-014 addresses the torque converter flood back. If you are not experiencing a delayed and harsh engagement when putting the car in drive after sitting overnight, focus on the flush.

Although mine was still under warranty, I thought GM had a bulletin and covered the cost of yours to do the flush & fluid change.
I’d question them harder, or check w a different dealer.
Isn’t your drivetrain warranty still valid?

Just another helpful GM dealer... NOT!

Get your facts/data together and go elsewhere. You should be fine.

I just use the paddles 100% of the time. Good luck with your fix!

The flush, and refill with new fluid helped my previous '16 a lot. And yes, at $1500 dollars they should at least kiss you first.
