As a new corvette owner Ive hated the look of the dealer installed front license plate holder. Thanks to this forum I learned that it rubs the paint. After a month of hating it I replaced it with an Aero plate holder but I had light yellow rub marks on my baby. Also thanks to my step son who kissed the edged of the passenger door against my neighbor's wood white washed fence I had a 2 inch white rub mark on the door edge.
I figured these were jobs for a rubbing compound and cave a small company called Carfidant (www.carfidant.com) a shot. I bought their Scratch and swirl Remover product (water based) and it was like magic. While it took a couple of applications and mild elbow grease Both marks went the way of the dinosaur. The finish was perfect. The produce costs $29.00 and comes with an applicator. Additionally you get a coupon for an additional bottle of any of their products for free and another coupon for 20% off your next purchase .
Anybody else use the products from this company? While I have no ties to this company I really love their products. I also bought their Trim restorer which works great as well
I haven't tried the product you mention yet. I have been very pleased with Meguiar's Scratch-X, which is around $7 a bottle.

I know its a Mercedes - but I just bought a black Mercedes for my fiance and used this product on some rub / scuff marks and also for the "piano lacquer" center console. I only used this Scratch 2.0 - Look at the results...
