Who has tricks and or tools to assist in cleaning the inside of the windshield? Ours had a milky coating that you could only see in certain light angles...I used good old windex and paper towel and it turned out horribly! Thought I went about it like a lazy man, so I did it again...I paid attention to getting the entire windshield nice and wet with windex and then scrubbed in little circles then rubbed it dry....OMG! Now we have small circles of the same haze!
so! How do YOU get your windshield clean? And are there any tools to help?
I use 50/50 mix water and white vinegar, sprayed on or wiped on with soaked paper towels, then dried off with SCRUNCHED UP NEWSPAPER!
an upside down long handle ice scraper covered with microfiber towel reaches pretty good to base interior of glass....
Target sells SprayWay Glass Cleaner. I think it is the "house" brand but I am often wrong, so, you know, grain of salt. This stuff works great, though. No streaks. And it slightly foams on contact, so it doesn't run down into the crevices.
Infrared radiation creates off-gassing of the plastic dashboard and all other components within a vehicle. These out-gassed plastic molecules get into the air and then condense on glass surfaces. I have tried every windshield cleaner there is and none will clean this film from a window without streaking. I finally have found a product that does clean the windshield spotless without any streaking. It is also as a great general purpose cleaner and works great for grease and oil. Great cleaner to use in the garage. I mix about 1-2 fluid ounces of Lestoil in a small pail of warm water. I'll use a small plush microfiber towel and wet the towel by immersing the towel in the pail and then ring it out so the towel is dampened but not dripping. I'll then clean all the windows in the vehicle inside and out with this towel. I'll follow up with either a paper towel to dry or use another dry plush microfiber towel. Either will work well. This cleaner just melts away grime on any surface and will leave your windows spotless. It's the best cleaner I have found anywhere. You can find it in many grocery or hardware stores. Give it a try. I'm sure you will become a big fan.
Once you have the glass clean, weekly or whenever you think of it wiping with a good quality microfiber towel will easily remove the sheen that seems to show up when the sun hits the window. It is easy to keep it clear if you remember to wipe it before it starts really showing. Use a quality towel, not the yellow Costco ones but a good one like the Korean microfibers The Rag Company sells. Don't do it at a stop light though. The difference between the part you can reach from the seat and the part you can't will drive you nuts.
Invisible glass and scott shop towels for glass..........
This!
And clean the glass 3 or 4 times. Then clean the glass regularly, before the accumulated contaminants from the air have time to turn to gunk that it hard to remove.

Invisible glass, leaves zero film or streaking. Works so well I only clean the inside windshield once a year when I take it out of winter storage. This tool is a must have...works great!
Order this and don't look back, best glass cleaner I have ever used hands down. Just soak it in plain old water and ring out as much water as you can, then clean your glass.
I use Stoner's Invisible Glass cleaner and two MF towels. The key for me is to use less product and not more. I spray the MF towel and then wipe and clean the glass. After cleaning, I then wipe the glass again with a separate, dry and soft MF towels that usually takes care of any leftover residue or streaks. The inside windshield is a little tough but once you spray the MF towel, just reach into the corners and edges.
Again, the key with most car products is that less is more. It's amazing how much a slightly damp MF towel can clean and restore.
