For me it depends entirely on the specific car, color, mods, etc. as a whole. Hence, I'm sorry I couldn't do the poll.
I agree with you here...
For instance, black wheels on a black, red, white, or yellow car make the car pop as much as chrome. Black wheels on other colors, not so much.
The answers will be the same as they have been the last 10,000 times this subject has come up. Those who like black will vote black - those who like chrome will vote chrome and you or I will never change their minds.
I actually wanted a late model C7 with chrome wheels when I went shopping a year ago. However, the car I decided to buy had black wheels with the Torch Red. At first, I felt like it was a younger person's preference and I am not a young person. Over the ensuing months, I came to really like the black wheels over chrome wheels on my C7. Then, I decided to make it look like it was owned by a Millenial and got some second hand Jake center caps to insure that this car could not be mistaken for someone driving this in their 70's

IMO, the below is a very good representation of how the difference between chrome and black can dramatically change to over-all look of the C7. If you like your car to "POP" then it's chrome, if prefer a more subdued look, then it's black wheels.
Totally a personal preference thing.
The chrome looks like an exotic super car, the black wheels makes it look like a $500 beater you would walk away from because its been thrashed.
Very few exotics (any?) come stock with chrome wheels. A good number of Lamborghinis come with black wheels. Ferrari wheels are typically grey; Astons, black or grey; Bugatti black or grey; etc.lamborghinilamborghinilamborghini
Black...even though I am kinda tired of black rims by now...but chrome is done played out. Had it on my last Corvette for 12 years and could not wait to get rid of it...it just says "outdated"...
I prefer chrome but don't have a problem with black wheels on the right car. My 19 GS came with black wheels and I did not like them with the Ceramic Grey. I like the machine faced look and bought new set of those for it.
