Default DIC question

Hi all,

New here and just got a 2016 Stingray LT3.

one question that I can’t seem to figure out:

What is this yellow glow on the up and down arrow on the center MPH gauge?

Thank you!

Possibly because you have it set on Track Mode for driving and the DIC is in Tour Mode for instruments? Here's a video explaining how to set up your DIC.

Thanks for the fast reply!

I don't think this video covered what the yellow half-sphere means in my above photo.

I also changed these settings (linking it to drive mode) , de-linking it from drive mode, and those two yellow half-spheres still exist. I feel like yesterday when I was driving, they weren't there. It's bothering my OCD. lol

Thank you to anyone that can help solve this!

Its a design element, a fake reflection to make the gauge look more realistic. Its just there to take up visual space. Kind of like when people put drop shadows behind icons or text. The glow has no meaning or function beyond being some random eye candy.

Guess I'm going blind as I don't see a yellow half sphere in the picture above. The only thing yellow I can see is the sguare with TR in the middle of it which indicates the car is in TRACK mode as set by the driver mode **** in the center of the console.

Edit: I see it now said Ray Charles. Maybe extra HP being in track mode. I'll check mine out.

I agree with JMII

Sounds good.. I just swear I didn't see that color there yesterday when I was driving. Maybe it does it depending on time of day/lightning?

Shrug. Thanks all!

I believe that you may be referring to the high beam indicator.

I tried for 30 minutes at a car show Saturday to try and duplicate the yellow half-sphere on my 2019 1LT auto with no luck !

There is no high-beam icon illuminated on that pic.

The green light icon is simply the headlight (low beam) icon. The high-beam icon is in the upper left.
