Went to use the windshield washer today and no joy. Topped off the fluid, checked the fuse visually and with a meter (it's good) and still no wash. So switch, washer pump motor, or wiring, all of which seem very unlikely. What about a BCM glitch?? I did change out my battery about a month and a half ago... not sure if I have used the washer since that. Maybe I'll try disconnecting the battery for awhile then reconnecting it. Anyone else had this? I have GMEPP but really really hate to go to the dealer.
Thanks, guys, I'll pull the pump and have a look at it. Hard to believe there could be any debris, I honestly think today is the first time I have ever had the cap off the washer fill tank. I'll check to make sure the switch is sending +12v to the pump, too. If it is the pump $20 is easily worth it to avoid the dealer.
If you can hear the pump operate but no fluid it is clogged or issue with tubing, If no pump operation then electrical issue or bad pump. Good luck for a quick fix.
Pump is not running. New one coming. Yes, I could take the old one off and try to make it work again but for $23 I'll have the new one handy when I disassemble the wheel liner to check it and to check to see if I am getting +12V to the connector. If it ends up being the switch or some mysterious electrical failure it'll go to the dealer and GMEPP. My bet is on the pump.

New pump is coming tomorrow so I will probably disassemble the liner today. The Vette is already up on the QuickJack and tire off. Question for releasing the wheel liner... the bolts are easy, but the service manual excerpts posted in the links above call some of them "fasteners" and FyreAnt calls some of them "snap clips". These various darned plastic fasteners are one of my pet peeves... how do these particular ones work? Pop the heads up and then pull them out? Or are they like the Christmas tree type that you just pry out? I have broken my share of these in the past trying to figure out what I was dealing with.
Edit: it looks like they are the type that you pry and pop the heads up which releases the pins. But, LOL, the other issue is that the Quick Jack frame is in the way of several of the underside bolts that need to come out to release the rear of the liner... and my ancient floor jack won't fit under the C7. Can't make this stuff up. It's always something.
I had to drive the car up on a wood block and use my old floor jack and some jack stands but got it done. I pulled the pump and put it on a 12v battery on my work bench and all it did was make some clicking noises. Then I applied some mechanical agitation (banged it on my work bench) and it freed up and ran perfectly. As others have noted with theirs there must have been some debris stuck in the impeller. The pump actually seems like it is pretty good quality. Feels solid, runs smooth. So back in it went.
A couple of notes... the plastic fasteners are what I call plastic pop rivets. Pry the head up and then the whole thing comes out. Easy peasy especially if you have the tool as pictured below. This is really a trivial R&R, I could do it again in 30 minutes. The hardest part was having the car on the QuickJack and not being able to get at some of the screws and a bolt and having to rerack the car with my floor jack. Now I will have a spare pump with the one I ordered coming tomorrow. Oh, well... it was only $20.
Oh, when you pull the pump be prepared for a gusher. I was ready with a clean bucket below. I had also cleaned the parts of the car that some of the fluid might contact as it drained to the container so I was able to reuse the fluid. I had just refilled it the other day thinking it might be low before I got onto the pump being the problem.

LOL... Not for something like this. Not even worth wasting the time shuttling to the dealer and/or waiting for something that takes 30 minutes and costs maybe $20. My GMEPP is more like catastrophic coverage. Torque tubes, valve springs, Mag Ride, LCD screen and head unit, fuel tank sender, etc.
