I am scheduled for the transmission triple flush (TSB 18-NA-355) and the software update on the MRC on Thursday. The flush is covered under the 5-year powertrain warranty, the MRC upgrade will cost about $350.00 I believe. My dealer for maintenance Stringray in Pant City, FL, I have had good experience with them in the past few years. I hope the cures the trans shudder.

I had the flush done on mine and it fixed the issue (so far). Feels like the drivetrain is a lot smoother overall. Had the same done on my truck which had the shutter even worse, it runs great now as well. I’m hoping this fixes both long term.
There is a thread on the Forum that has a video with a detailed explanation of how the problem is solved (around 01:06:00). The Flush puts the new Tranny Fluid that has additives that are supposed to solve the problem. Since, I had mine done a few weeks ago, I have noticed it is much smoother.
I also had the Upgrade, which is immediately noticeable when you leave the Dealership Once, you do some spirited driving, you will really notice the difference.
It feels like a new car now!
Edit: Since, I was having both services done, I left the car overnight.

The MRC update adjusts itself over a 8-10 hour period (doesn't have to sit at the dealership - I forget the actual number of hours). My suspension felt too soft when I left the dealership but the next day was firm as expected.
I had 2 triple flushes last year. The shudder never really went away unfortunately. It wasn't until I drained the transmission 2 times myself and added in a friction modifer that it ultimately stopped.......been shudder free for close to 8 months
Triple flush completed then drove about 260 miles with no problems, yahoo. I also wanted to have the MRC updated but was told that it was done by the previous owner; saved $350. Jeremiah at Stringray Plant City is the best.
Great looking car! I hope that it fixes your shudder issue. Having a 14 I am glad to have the A6. Also I get to have the infotainment screen flicker
You're really fortunate owning that 2014 C7 of yours. The 2014 MY had far more TSBs then any other C7 model year by a large margin. We 2015-2019 owners are really envious of your '14 A6.

I am not envious, I like my 2016 and have no problems. The A8 had the wrong additives in the Tranny fluid. Once, they worked that out, I like all the extras.

Does your car have to have the shudder to be eligible for the flush?
All you need to do is tell them your trans seems a little notchy in 1st and 2nd gear when the car is cold. That is a condition listed in the TSB to perform this fluid flush. The flush is definitely noticeable once it is done. You can feel the difference.

Might depend on your dealer. I had dealer do TF on my 17 GS. I called service manager ahead of making appointment and talked to him about bulletin 18 - NA -355. Told him I would like to have Triple Flush done to get correct recommended fluid in tranny to prevent any possible problems and possible cost in the future.I mentioned where in bulletin correction section it stated. "Vehicles that are presented with TCC shudder should have appropriate fluid exchange procedure completed. Diagnosis beyond the customer complaint is not required if vehicle was built prior to production dates indicated above." After our conversation service manager said it will be done under warranty we made appointment . TF was completed. So it seems there is some wiggle room if dealer wants to work with there customer . Dealer will get paid for work by GM so they get paid and in my case dealer also gets a happy customer. My GS was done in May and my 18 GMC Sierra has appointment this Thursday for TF, oil change and inspection.

It definitely should not. The TSB is very specific, as stated. If the dealer doesn't want to do it, call another.
I agree if you are presenting a car WITH TCC Shudder, but if you present your car to dealer WITHOUT shudder symptoms , there might be a gray area Bulletin correction section talks about car being presented with shudder complaint. I was answering question regarding cars being covered by bulletin WITH OUT symptoms.
