Zaino or Ceramic?
Prolly an old question, but after a little bodywork on the C7's front-end and a goofed-up lower bumper (under grille) Xpel clear bra, the clear bra guy is going to replace the clear piece and offered me a ceramic sealant job. I've used Zaino for, what, 15 years and always happy with it. But as we all know, ceramic is the latest and greatest and wanted to get people's 2 cents on moving onto ceramic. Anything I should do to remove the Zaino (although about 9 months old now) first? Any thoughts are surely appreciated!
If you want, a dish soap (Dawn preferred) will take it off, but I would assume that would be done by the detailer.
Reminder to not use the sponge or device you normally use.
A 100 percent cotton wash cloth will suffice.

Your detailer should wash, clay, and polish the paint to remove any swirl marks or other imperfections prior to placing the film and ceramic coating the car, that will remove any wax/polish you've got on the car. Ceramic is the way to go, you'll never have to polish and wax your car again if maintained properly, just wash and dry it to clean it up and it'll easily shine as well as Zaino.
I have used Zaino for years as well and some top end Chemical Guys products, all of them made my car really shine. Recently had surgery and cannot do that kind of waxing, so my wife calls my buddies and gets the name of the guy who did the ceramic on their cars and surprises me having my Midnight Race Blue Tintcoat 2014 done.
Another reason I love my wife! The car looks soo much better. The depth of the color, the luster, the pop of the pearl in the paint is so much more than before. I get stopped everywhere by people asking what paint is that, what did you do to it to get it to look like this?
Some new stuff are fads or gimmicks, ceramic seems like the real deal. I just wash, dry and once monthly use a specific detail spray and the car looks like the first day it was done. I spend the extra time gained by not waxing to really polish the chrome wheels and detail the inside to levels I was usually too tired to do before after waxing/buffing. The car is showroom status all the time now with minimal effort and better results.

Thanks all for your responses. I do love Zaino, but also believe that ceramic may be the way to go. We no longer use buggy whips anymore and there's a reason why, so maybe it's time to move onward.
